Аbout the artist
Chermen Gougkaev (b.1988) is a member of the Artists' Union of Russia.
Chermen has graduated from the St. Petersburg State Repin Academy of Fine Arts and the workshop of monumental painting led by the People's Artist of Russia, Prof. Alexander Bystrov, a full member of the Russian Academy of Fine Arts.
He has been honing his skills at the creative workshop of monumental painting of the Russian Academy of Fine Arts led by the Academician of the Russian Academy of Fine Arts Vera Mylnikova, an Honored Artist of Russia.
His awards:
- medal of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia;
- diplomas of the Artists' Union of Russia (2017, 2021);
- gold of the Artists' Union of Russia;
- silver medal of the Russian Academy of Fine Arts;
- winner of the Prize-Competition Art-Start "Best Young Artists. Prize of St. Petersburg" at St. Petersburg in the nominations of painting and art objects (2019);
- 1st degree diploma of the St. Petersburg International exhibition-competition - 2021, in the "Painting. The Subject composition" nomination (for his work Music, 2020);
- winner of the North Ossetia Republican exhibition-competition, 2018;
- the Russian Academy of Arts solemn thanks.
